New Visitors For Keraka Tourism

The West Asia, it passes through its hot season. Tourists from West Asia have
starting arriving to enjoy the monsoon in Kerala. The arrival of Arab tourists from
June to August has been a trend for the past four years.
The Tourism Department has been promoting the programes about Kerala in the Gulf
nations in the past few years. They have some language barrier, but they enjoy the
monsoon.
N. Sreekumar, general secretary, All Kerala Houseboat Owners Association, says
fewer tourists from the Gulf countries are arriving now. “But the tourists who come
always enjoy a houseboat cruise in Vembanad Lake,” he says. They also wanted to
visit Munnar, Thekkady and other tourist places in Kerala. Most of these tourists are
from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The Kerala tourism industry here expects more visitors from the Gulf in the coming
days.
