It is a tourism culture that is in mix with the environment and social culture
of the state. The UNWTO Ulysses Award is a major recognition for the activities
of the state tourism. The RT model had opened up various revenue generating
avenues for the local communities
The state government’s RT model focuses on three kinds of responsibilities that
are termed as the ‘triple bottom-line’ economic responsibility, social
responsibility and environmental responsibility. It generates greater economic
benefits to locals and enhances the wellbeing of local communities.
A P Anil Kumar, Minister for Tourism, Government of India, said that the
government wanted to make Responsible Tourism a major revenue generating model

the tourism sector in the state. The government had organised a technical

the RT model and implement it.
