Goa Tourism Plans



PANAJI: Goa Tourism Development Corporation has decided to lease Tiracol fort for a period of 33 years, which is significantly divided
into three terms of eleven years each.
Concerned tender has recently received two installments from Champions luxury resorts and homes, Bangalore and Asian hotels, New Delhi.


As per the plan GTDC are projecting a plan to develop the Forts area as a nature coast and eco tourism destination which would lead to high-end tourism destination.

Particular decision was taken in a board meeting which happened in July. And as per the source they are looking forward to develop fort as a tourism destination.

 The plan says it would establish rock garden, earmarking play area for children, building civic amenities like restrooms, changing rooms and cloak rooms.

They are also looking forward to add spa and yoga centre besides a beauty of floating jetty adjoining the fort area.

Other amenities that would surround a side of fort are cottage, lounge on top of the fort and cafeteria, high-end bar and restaurant. And also they are planning to set up Temporary cottages and a display structure for handicrafts.

Rappelling, rock climbing, gymnasium, scuba diving, snorkeling and other adventure activities are to be included to amuse adventure lovers. Apart from that a plan to stall shops which would sell souvenirs and handicraft items has also been discussed.

Fort looks to be an area for musical carnival and private parties.
While discussing on private parties the strict code of conducts are to be maintained vulgar dance performances and casino activities will not be permitted in the area. If a bidder found violating a rules his license would be cancelled.
